Islamabad: Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, attended the grand celebration of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan\u2019s birthday as the chief guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the distinguished gathering, last night the minister extended warm congratulations on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, acknowledging the Emperor\u2019s role as a symbol of unity, peace, and prosperity for Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, the minister praised the Emperor\u2019s reign, which has been characterized by a deep commitment to the well-being of his people and the advancement of Japan as a global leader in technology, culture, and sustainable development. \u201cHis Majesty\u2019s vision of harmony, resilience, and innovation has not only propelled Japan to remarkable heights but has also inspired the world,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted Japan\u2019s significant efforts towards global peace, humanitarian assistance, and environmental sustainability, noting that these principles align closely with Pakistan\u2019s aspirations. \u201cJapan\u2019s dedication to fostering peace and international cooperation is a beacon of hope and progress in an ever-changing world,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the deep-rooted and time-tested relationship between Pakistan and Japan, which is built on mutual respect, shared values, and a commitment to economic and cultural collaboration. \u201cPakistan attaches great importance to its ties with Japan and is keen to elevate this partnership to new heights, particularly in trade, investment, and human resource development,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the current bilateral trade volume stands at $1.27 billion but stressed that there is immense potential to enhance it further through concerted efforts. \u201cJapan\u2019s expertise in technology, infrastructure, and innovation perfectly aligns with Pakistan\u2019s vision for economic growth, and we are committed to creating new opportunities for businesses and fostering people-to-people connections,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister expressed gratitude to the Japanese government and companies for their continued investment in Pakistan, acknowledging the presence of more than 80 Japanese firms operating in key sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, steel, and machinery. \u201cPakistan\u2019s strategic location makes it an ideal trade and investment hub, offering vast opportunities for Japanese businesses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also lauded the contributions of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in supporting Pakistan\u2019s development efforts, recognizing their role in fostering economic growth and trade collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark the special occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held, in which Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan participated alongside Japanese officials and dignitaries. The minister also visited an exhibition showcasing Japanese products, where he was briefed about the latest innovations and technological advancements by Japanese companies operating in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He appreciated the quality and craftsmanship of Japanese products and expressed hope that such exhibitions would further strengthen commercial ties between the two nations. \u201cEvents like these not only celebrate our friendship but also open new doors for business and investment collaborations,\u201d he remarked during his visit to the stalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
