The event marked the role of youth in addressing challenges faced by Pakistan through their involvement. Government representatives, international donors, and civil society members attend the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Seher Afsheen, the Country Representative of VSO, spoke about the organization&#8217;s objectives to formalize and improve existing Volunteer Policy. Ms. Afsheen underscored the invaluable support provided by the UK. She said \u201cEducation is vital for empowering youth for contributing to the nation&#8217;s development prospects\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Closing the session, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott CMG OBE said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEmpowering Pakistan\u2019s youth to lead the response to today\u2019s challenges, including tackling climate change, could not be more important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s celebration by the Voluntary Service Overseas celebrated all that Pakistan\u2019s dynamic youth have achieved, and was also a reminder of the importance of ensuring every child gets a good education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Muhammad Ali Malik Deputy Secretary for Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Program, Ms Sabiha Shaheen from Bargad, also attend the event along with other development Partners.
