Islamabad : Pakistan Squash Federation has been putting tremendous efforts for revival of international squash in the country. In the same context, PSF in collaboration with Serena Hotels has arranged CAS-International Squash
Championship for Men & Women at Mushaf Squash Complex, ecent starting from November 29th till December 4th, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the press conference, the PSF Secretary Amir Nawaz announced that other than the Pakistani players, athletes hailing from Malaysia, Egypt, and Spain will compete in the forthcoming tournament. The prize money for the men’s championship is USD 1805 for the winner and USD 1140 for the runner-up,while the prize money for the women’s event is USD 902 for the winner and USD 570 for the runner-up. The championship finals are set to take place on 4th December 2023, while the opening ceremony is set for 29th November 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Men event, World No 64 Ibrahim Elkabani from Egypt is Seed No 1 along with World No 72 Muhammad Asim Khan from Pakistan as Seed No 2. In total, there are 10 Pakistanis
and 14 foreign players. In Women event, World No 77 Chan Yiwen from Malaysia is Seed No 1 along with World No 114 Nour Khafagy from Egypt as Seed No 2. In total, there are 14 Pakistanis and 10 foreign players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan Air Force under the
patronage of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, has been extending
tremendous support to Pakistan Squash Federation for the game\u2019s promotion in the country
and we are hopeful for bringing the glories back to the country, which we have enjoyed for
many years in the past. On the other hand \u2013 besides Govt support, we also expect the
corporate sector to come forward by extending financial support for raising the soft image
of Pakistan around the world by organizing major sports activities in Pakistan. With their
support, Inshallah Pakistan will regain the top slot in the world of sports and we would very
soon, be seeing Pakistan\u2019s flag fluttering high in the world of sports again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The PSF has been working really hard to raise squash’s image throughout the nation. The federation wants to demonstrate to the world that we can organize major squash tournaments and host the world-class players in an effective way, ” the PSF secretary said. He also Highlighted the federation was providing extensive support and the best available facilities to players and necessary arrangements have been made to hold the event successfully.
