Wellington  : Two experienced players have returned to the New Zealand women’s squad for the limited-overs series against England. White Ferns have recalled Rosemary Mair and Brooke Halliday to their squad for the five-match T20I series and following three ODIs against England later this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mair is recalled to the squad for the first time since last year\u2019s tour to Sri Lanka, while Halliday returns after a healed foot injury which saw her miss the limited-overs series against Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRosemary\u2019s had a great domestic season,\u201d White Ferns head coach Ben Sawyer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe\u2019s been an integral part of the Central Hinds side this summer and has stepped up with her leadership and extra pace, which has been pleasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe identified key areas of her game to work on post the tour of Sri Lanka and we\u2019ve been impressed with the way Rosemary has gone away and worked hard on implementing these into her game.”

A squad of 15 players has been chosen for the T20Is and ODIs both, with Georgia Plimmer exclusively picked for the ODI series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Eden Carson will feature in the first three T20Is while Kasperek will take on spin bowling duties for the final two T20Is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three standby players will also be named in due course for the trio of stars involved in the Women’s Premier League in India (Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine and Lea Tahuhu) as the series opener in Dunedin coincides with the WPL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
