London : In a ceremony Pakistan High Commission UK, the High Commissioner, Dr. Mohammad Faisal conferred the award of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, on behalf of the President of Pakistan, to Ms. Shama Junejo for her services in the field of journalism.

Ms. Shama Junejo hails from Sindh and started her career in journalism with Ibrat Group at a very young age. She has been associated with PTV and Radio Pakistan.
She holds a doctorate degree in Politics and is an expert in the fields of Diplomacy, International Relations, Law, Political Theories and Governance.
Her work includes reports on global politics, violence against women, minority rights & terrorism.
