Peshawar : Local citizens, students and business community demanded restoration of 3G, 4G service in Waziristan.
District Lower South Waziristan tehsil, birmal, Toi Khulla and various areas of Upper Waziristan are going to be over a year long, but till now Mobile, internet service 3G and 4G has been stopped completely.
Common people, businessmen and especially students are facing severe difficulties due to internet shutdown.
In Upper and Lower South Waziristan, the people of Tehsil birmal and Toi Khulla have protested many times for the restoration of net service, but unfortunately the government has not yet restored the net service.
In this regard, District General Secretary of PPP Imran Mukhlis told Dawn that the state should stop treating our people like a step mother.
He said the government and authorities have suspended the mobile network and internet service without any reason.
He said that we are deprived of basic constitutional rights and only have national identity cards in our pockets.
A local shopkeeper hayat Zindawar told Dawn, and raised the question of how long will our Waziristan remain in this darkness.
He strongly demanded the government and other security officials to restore Internet service in Upper and lower Waziristan remote areas, and do not force us to take any other step.
On the other hand, I tried to know the stance regarding suspension of internet service from official sources, but unfortunately could not be contacted.
