Kashmiri observes Black Day on Indian Independence Day

Muzaffarabad: People of Jammu and Kashmir observed Black day on the occasion of Indian Independence day.

According to details, a massive protest was organized under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in which sculptures of Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, Ajit Duval and Amit Shah were set on fire.

People were raising slogans against Indian government, saying that India has no right to celebrate Independence Day by taking away the freedom of Kashmiri people.

Speakers on the occasion said that India has illegally occupied the state of Jammu and Kashmir for the past 77 years. 

They were of the view that while India is celebrating Independence Day after taking away all the human, political, social and religious rights of the Kashmiri people.

“Kashmiri people do not accept the forced military rule of India as history is witness that the Kashmiri people have been struggling for their freedom for the past 77 years”, speakers voiced.

The speakers said that the world is watching how India is imprisoning Kashmiri leaders, scholars, journalists, human rights workers, lawyers, civil society workers who demand freedom and people’s rights.

They said that India is one of the worst ruler state in the world, who is using the worst black laws like AFSPA, POTA, TADA, UAPA, PSA to crush the freedom of Kashmiri people and imprisoning innocent people. 

Speakers lamented that now the land of the state is being seized and several attempts are being made to convert the dominant Muslim majority of Jammu and Kashmir into a minority. 

The speakers said that India should remember!  Kashmiri people will get freedom from its oppressive occupation. 

“The Kashmiri people will continue their struggle for freedom from Indian domination”, they reiterated.

The speakers said that India should remember that Kashmiri people will continue their resistance till independence. 

Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Iqbal Yasin Awan, Ghulam Hassan Butt, Abdul Hameed Lone, Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, Bilal Ahmad Farooqui, Mohammad Ishaq Shaheen, Sarandaz Mir, Abdul Razzaq Khan, Dr. Mohammad Manzoor, Shakir-ul-Islam, Mohammad Altaf Minhas, Mohammad Aslam Inqalabi, Faisal Farooq Sheikh, Mohammad Fayyaz Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
