Beijing : Fajer Rabia Pasha received the prestigious UNESCO’s Global Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education on behalf of Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE).
The award was presented by China’s First Lady, Prof. Peng Liyuan, UNESCO Special Envoy for Girls’ and Women’s Education, at a high level ceremony held at the State Guest House. Distinguished guests, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Mr. Moin Ul Haq, and China’s Minister for Education, were in attendance.
This is the first time an organization from Pakistan has recieved the award. Supported by the Government of Pakistan, the award is a recognition of Pakistan’s commitment to Gender Equality in Education
