THERE SHALL BE NO COMPROMISE ON THE SEAL OF PROPHETHOOD SAYS SPEAKER
Islamabad : Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has reiterated that no sacrifice is too great for the protection of the sanctity of the Holy. He emphasized that reverence for the Prophet (PBUH) is the cornerstone of every Muslim’s faith, and any compromise in this regard is inconceivable. The escalating tide of blasphemous content, sacrilegious conduct, and the desecration of Islamic sanctities demands a resolute and collective response from the international community. He expressed these views in a special message on the occasion of the eve of the “Day of Protection of the Sanctity of Prophethood,” observed across the nation on 15th March 2025 with fervent religious zeal.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq underscored the alarming worldwide surge in Islamophobia, which has reached distressing proportions in recent years. Malicious caricatures, blasphemous content, and vitriolic propaganda targeting Islamic beliefs and values are part of a nefarious and well-orchestrated agenda aimed at provoking Muslims and sowing discord. He urged the United Nations and global institutions to address this pressing issue with urgency, ensuring the promotion of interfaith harmony and mutual respect among civilizations.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed that Pakistan’s Parliament has consistently played a vanguard role in safeguarding the sanctity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) through decisive legislation. He recalled that on September 7, 1974, Pakistan’s Parliament unanimously enacted a historic resolution, unequivocally declaring those who reject the Finality of Prophethood (PBUH) as non-Muslims. He further stated that stringent measures are being enforced in cyberspace and on social media platforms to curb blasphemous content and deter any attempts to disrespect sacred Islamic figures.
He called on the Muslim Ummah to demonstrate unity and adopt a cohesive strategy to thwart blasphemous acts effectively. He reiterated that Pakistan will continue to champion this cause at every global forum and raise a clarion call for stringent international legislation to proscribe blasphemous material.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Syed Mir Ghulam Mustafa Shah, in his message, declared that the protection of the sanctity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the foremost duty of every Muslim. He stressed the importance of educating younger generations on Islamic principles and the inviolable belief in the Finality of Prophethood (PBUH) to ensure their unwavering commitment to defending this sacred cause at all levels. He recalled that on September 7, 1974, under the leadership of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan’s Parliament enacted a historic constitutional amendment that stated that only those who believe in the Finality of Prophethood (PBUH) can be recognized as Muslims. He further assured that Pakistan’s Parliament will persist in its unwavering efforts to safeguard the doctrine of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (Finality of Prophethood, PBUH) and will adopt an unyielding stance against any attempt to undermine this fundamental tenet of faith.
