Pakistani Cueists Set to Compete in Consecutive World Snooker Championships

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan snooker team has been officially selected to participate in the upcoming IBSF World Men’s (15 Reds) Snooker and Teams & 6 Reds Championships 2023, scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar from November 5 to 15.

The chosen players for the IBSF World Men’s (15 Reds) Championship, running from November 5 to 10, include Babar Masih, Muhammad Naseem Akhtar, and Ahsan Ramzan. These skilled cueists are set to represent Pakistan on the global snooker stage.

In the IBSF World Teams Championship, which spans from November 5 to 12, the selected teams are as follows: Muhammad Naseem Akhtar & Ahsan Ramzan (Team A), and Muhammad Sajjad & Babar Masih (Team B). These teams are gearing up to compete against the world’s best in a show of skill and teamwork.

Additionally, in the IBSF World 6 Reds Championship, taking place from November 5 to 15, Muhammad Naseem Akhtar and Ahsan Ramzan will proudly represent Pakistan.

To prepare for these prestigious events, the World Men’s (15 Reds), Teams, and 6 Reds Championships 2023, a rigorous training camp was held in four cities, namely Lahore, Sargodha, Sahiwal, and Rawalpindi, spanning from October 9 to 31. During the camp, the players dedicated themselves from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily to sharpen their skills and ensure they are in peak form for the upcoming competitions.

The national snooker federation expressed optimism and hope that these talented players will bring honor and accolades to Pakistan through their performances in the aforementioned championships.
