ISLAMABAD : Minister for Azad Kashmir Small Industry Corporation Ms. Kousar Taqdees Gillani has said that Azad Kashmir enjoys immense investment potential so the investors should come forward to grasp this opportunity.
She said this while talking to Senior Vice President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Faad Waheed and other office bearers during her visit to the Chamber House here on Tuesday.
She said that there exists vast scope for investment in tourism, mineral, transport, small industry and handicraft sectors of Azad Kashmir and that Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry should come forward and collaborate for the promotion of these sectors.
The Minister said that development of these and other sectors will serve a lot for the progress and prosperity of the area and will create employment opportunities for the local youth.
She added that for this purpose ICCI and the Azad Kashmir government can join hands for the holding of an Investment Conference.
On his part Senior Vice President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and industry Faad Waheed said that Islamabad Chamber will extend full cooperation for the showcasing of Azad Kashmir handicrafts and for the promotion of tourism and hotel industry.
He said that there is much room for the promotion of IT industry which in turn will create job opportunities for the youth.
Secretary General UBG Zafar Bakhtawari said that visits of Ambassadors of friendly countries to Azad Kashmir will not only promote tourism but will equally be beneficial for the Kashmir Cause.
Chairman Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry Khursheed Barlas said that creation of Business Incubation Centres will also go a long for the employment opportunities for the local youth.
