Ankara : President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Ismail Haniyeh, Chairman of the Political Bureau of Hamas.
President Erdoğan expressed his condolences over the martyrdom of his three sons and three grandchildren in the Israeli attack.
Israel targeted a vehicle containing several family members of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, who were on their way to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with residents of al-Shati refugee camp and their relatives.
It has been reported that all the members of Haniya’s family in the car were injured or lost their lives in the attack.
Haniya’s sons Hazim, Amir and Muhammad and her three grandsons, Houtian, also lost their lives in this attack.
According to the statement issued by the Directorate of Communication, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his condolences to the Chairman of the Political Bureau of Hamas Haniyeh for the martyrdom of his three sons and three grandchildren in the Israeli attack.
Erdoğan said that Israel will be held accountable for crimes against humanity before the law.
Haniyeh thanked Erdoğan for standing with the Palestinian people and said that we thank you for fighting the Gaza case in Turkey and outside Turkey.
The leader of Hamas said that
“I thank God for the martyrdom of my children that my children stayed in Gaza and did not leave Gaza. All our people are paying a heavy price and I am one of them.
“My children sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Bait al-Maqdis and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
About 60 members of my family have been martyred due to this.
The blood of my sons is not more precious than the blood of our martyred people in Gaza.
There is no difference between our people and the people of Palestine in war. Haniya reiterated his determination that.
No matter how much our losses are, we will not bow down to Israel’s blackmail.
