In July 2023, Pakistan’s export of IT services brought in $214 million

(APP): During the first month of the current fiscal year 2023–2024, Pakistan made US $214 million by offering various information technology (IT) services in other nations.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), this represents a growth of 7.51% when compared to the US $ 199.050 million received from the provision of services during the comparable period of the previous fiscal year 2022–23. Computer services had a 7.98% increase in the month under study, going from $159.940 million in US dollars in July of last year to $172.700 million in US dollars in July of 2023.

While the export of hardware consultancy services decreased by 0.22 percent, from US $58.551 million to US $58.425 million, the export of software consultancy services increased by 176.73 percent, from US $0.159 million to US $0.440 million this year.

While the export and import of computer software services increased by 9.30%, from $46.044 million to $50.327 million, the export of repair and maintenance services increased by 400%, from US $0.007 million to US $0.035 million.

Additionally, from $55.179 million to $63.473 million, the exports of other computer services increased by 15.03 percent.

During the month under examination, the export of information services also climbed by 3.45%, going from US $0.290 million to US $0.300 million.

The exports of information-related services fell by 8.82% among all services, from US $0.204 million to US $0.186 million.
