In a powerful gesture during the closing ceremony, Romina Khurshid refused to drink water from a plastic bottle, highlighting the grave environmental hazards posed by plastic usage. Recognizing the urgent need for action, Khurshid emphasized the government’s commitment to formulating an effective strategy for a plastic-free environment.Addressing the gathering, Khurshid underscored the global significance of combating climate change, emphasizing that it transcends politics and requires collective efforts from all sectors of society. She welcomed positive suggestions from journalists and expressed appreciation for the organizers of the marathon, emphasizing that its purpose extends beyond competition to raising public awareness about environmental conservation.Khurshid stressed the pivotal role of the youth in combating climate change, noting that they are the frontline force in this endeavor.
