Islamabad : Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists- Workers strongly condemn the Israeli decision of banning telecast of ALJAZEERA TV and demand its earliest restoration.
In a statement president PFUJ-Workers, Shamim Shahid and Secretary General Raja Riaz termed the decision a worst shape of fascism and depriving the world of its right to know.
“The PFUJ-Workers terms the decision a brutal curb on press freedom and demand that Israeli govt should give right to every media organisation to work freely,” the statement reads.
Al-Jazeera media network is reporting independently and showing what us happening in the war field. The ban must be lifted and free access to media must be given, the statement adds.
The PFUJ-Workers request journalist bodies all around the world to raise their voice for free media all over the world and support Al Jazeera by expressing solidarity with its organisation and media persons.
“If we do not discharge our duty of raising voice for Al Jazeera the other will use the practice to silent voices in their regions,” the statement concludes.
