Moscow : Russia has claimed to capture five villages in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region during a surprise ground offensive.
Moscow’s defence ministry in a statement said its troops also took one village in the Donetsk region.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address has said his troops are carrying out counterattacks in border villages in Kharkiv region.
