Ambassador of Turkmenistan calls on NA Speaker

Islamabad: Honourable Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its brotherly and fraternal ties with Turkmenistan.”The two countries are strongly interlinked in eternal ties of shared religious, cultural, and historical traditions.Enhancing trade and economic ties with Turkmenistan would usher into new era of regional economic development .”, He added.The Speaker expressed these views in his meeting with Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atta Jan Nurlivij Mulamov who called on him in Parliament House.

The speaker expressed his resolve to enhance contacts between the parliaments of the two countries. He also extended invitation to the Speaker of the Parliament of Turkmenistan to visit Pakistan along with the parliamentary delegation as Parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between the two countries. The Speaker expressed that Turkmenistan can benefit from Gwadar port for trade with Middle East and other countries. The matters related to early completion of Tapi gas pipeline project was also deliberated upon.

Turkmenistan Ambassador Atta Jan Nurlivij Mulamov extended felicitation to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on his successful election as Speaker of the National Assembly for the third time. He said that Turkmenistan values its relations with Pakistan and is keen to expand them, Ambassador. He also said that Pakistan has vast opportunities and Turkmenistan traders and business can benefit.
