Road safety training session to educate Senate staff car drivers.

Islamabad: A road safety training session was held at Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary services (PIPS) to sensitize and educate staff car drivers of the Senate. A detailed orientation was given on the traffic rules and measures related to road safety.The important session was held at PIPS through a joint collaboration of the senate Secretariat, Islamabad traffic Police (ITP) and PIPS.

Speakers which included Executive Director (PIPS) Muhammad Anwar, Joint Secretary Senate Jamil Ahmed Khoso, Chief Traffic Officer Sarfraz Virk and Deputy Secretary (Transport) Muddasar Sher Ali Gondal, highlighted the importance of Road safety while emphasizing for adoption of pre-cautionary measures. They further observed that the importance of safe driving holds more importance when it relates to the employees of the Upper House of the country. This is the reason that the Senate Secretariat has been regularly conducting the training sessions, speaker highlighted Today’s session was also the part of this ongoing process for imparting evolving traffic rules and responsible behaviour in our drivers. Executive director of PIPS and CTO Islamabad also expressed their views on road safety on this occasion. Joint Secretary Senate Secretariat presented honorary souvenirs to CTO Islamabad and other traffic police officials at the end of the training session.
