Almaty – The Asian Cycling Championship was held in Almaty from June 5 to 12, 2024.
Athletes from 22 countries took part in the championship, including the national team of Pakistan.
In the men’s group race, 61.4 km long, the cyclist of the Pakistan national team, Ilyas Ali Javaid, took first place and won a gold medal.
According to the results of the tournament, the national team of Kazakhstan won 21 medals and took first place in the overall standings.
During the championship, a meeting was organized between the heads of the Federation of Pakistan and Kazakhstan, after that a memorandum of cooperation was signed.
