Belarus’s 80th Independence Day brings two countries closer, Amb Andrei

Islamabad –  The Ambassador of Belarus, Mr Andrei Metelitsa said on this occasion today is the 80th Independence Day of Belarus, which is a milestone to bring the two countries closer economically and diplomatically.

The Embassy of Belarus in Pakistan hosted a joyful ceremony  to commemorate three significant milestones: the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Pakistan, and the 80th anniversary of Belarus’s liberation from Nazi invaders.

The event was graced by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, who attended as the chief guest. The celebration featured a ceremonial cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the strong and enduring relations between the two nations.

During his address, Rana Tanveer Hussain, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich and Ambassador Andrei Metelitsa, highlighted the importance of Belarus’s Independence Day, praising the resilience and strength of the Belarusian people. He acknowledged their rich history, cultural heritage, and commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity.

The minister also emphasized the significance of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Belarus, noting the growth in bilateral ties characterized by mutual respect, cooperation, and shared interests in various fields. He mentioned the recent 6th round of bilateral political consultations in Islamabad, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing collaboration across multiple sectors.
Ambassador Andrei Metelitsa and Deputy Minister Sergey Lukashevich reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between Belarus and Pakistan. They emphasized the significance of the 80th Independence Day of Belarus as a milestone for bringing the two countries closer together. The event, attended by dignitaries, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors, marked a significant moment in the continued partnership between Pakistan and Belarus, with a shared vision for a brighter and more prosperous future through expanded collaboration in trade, investment, technology, and people-to-people exchanges.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich said that he is grateful to all those people present at the event held on the occasion of the independence of Belarus for participating in the event.
The minister said that he has brought a message of friendship and love to Pakistanis today on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Belarus.
