German delegation commended Pakistan for its proactive measures in advancing regional peace and stability
Islamabad : A Parliamentary delegation from Federal Republic of Germany called on National Assembly Deputy Speaker/Convener of the Pak-German Parliamentary Friendship Group, Syed Mir Ghulam Mustafa Shah.
The meeting was aimed to strengthening bilateral relations and Parliamentary cooperation. Both sides, further, committed to enhancing cooperation in trade, education, science and technology, and other areas of mutual interest.The Deputy Speaker emphasized the importance of enhancing Parliamentary diplomacy and the historical ties between Pakistan and Germany.
The German delegation commended Pakistan for its proactive measures in advancing regional peace and stability. They highlighted specific areas of potential collaboration, particularly in renewable energy and climate change initiatives, underscoring mutual interests and opportunities for joint efforts. Discussions included initiatives to enhance parliamentary exchanges, youth engagement, and academic programs.Deputy Speaker/Convener Pak-German PFG briefed the delegation on Pakistan’s legislative priorities and economic reforms, emphasizing the government’s commitment to foreign investment. Both sides expressed optimism about the future of Pak-German relations, agreeing to continue working closely to address common challenges and opportunities. The visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening the Pak-German partnership.
The German Ambassador to Pakistan, H. E. Alfred Grannas, and Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Syed Naveed Qamar, also attended the meeting. Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah also presented the traditional gift of Ajrak to the delegation.
