Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to enhance their cultural ties

Islamabad(News Desk):Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to enhance their cultural ties, following a meeting between the Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Jamal Shah, and Qatari Minister Sheikh Abdulrehman bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani. The meeting took place during the 12th Conference of the Culture Ministers of Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) of the OIC, held in Doha, Qatar. The two ministers stressed the importance of progressing negotiations on cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Qatar, and discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and cultural issues of mutual interest. Jamal Shah, in his speech at the conference, also highlighted the need for ICESCO to provide special opportunities for craftsmen, musicians, writers, and filmmakers to showcase their work with Islamic countries and the rest of the world, in order to represent the aspirations of their people. Additionally, Jamal Shah held meetings with the Director-General of ICESCO, and the Culture Minister of Palestine, focusing on cultural exchanges and ways to strengthen relations. He also met with counterparts from Iran and Somalia, where they discussed areas of collaboration and the importance of increasing cultural exchanges to enhance relations.
