The Eras concert tour movie starring Taylor Swift is released in theaters worldwide

Reuters: Taylor Swift, the renowned pop star known for her record-breaking achievements, has revealed that her documentary film from her highly successful Eras concert tour will have a worldwide screening.

In an Instagram post, the “Anti-Hero” singer shared the exciting news: “The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide… Been so excited to tell you all that ‘The Eras Tour’ concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!” Initially, Swift had stated that the movie, titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” would only be released in North America.

This announcement provides movie theater chains such as AMC Entertainment, Cineplex, and Cinemark with a prominent title to help fill gaps created by the ongoing actors’ and writers’ strikes in Hollywood.

Projections from Box Office Pro estimate that Swift’s film is expected to generate between $96 million and $145 million at the domestic box office during its opening weekend. The demand for the documentary, which showcases the 12-time Grammy winner’s “Eras,” has generated significant interest, comparable to major blockbuster franchises like Marvel and Star Wars from Walt Disney.

Tickets for Swift’s documentary come in at $19.89 for adults, a reference to Swift’s “1989” album, and $13.13 for children, reflecting the singer’s embrace of the number 13 as her lucky charm.

Swift initially announced her Eras Tour on November 1, 2022, consisting of 53 stadium shows across the United States. The tour later expanded to include 78 international dates.
