Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has announced that a public rally will be held in the capital to pay tribute to veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Gillani on his 4th martyrdom day.
While announcing the holding of a rally in Muzaffarabad on September 1, 2024 at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk, he said that contacts have been started with various political and religious parties, Kashmiri refugees, civil society and businessmen to make it a historic event.
He said that they will continue the mission started by the martyred leader who raised the uprising and atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir by India.
He said that Shaheed Syed Ali Shah Gillani spent 16 years of his life in Indian jails and the last 11 years under house arrest.
Ghazali further said that the brutal Indian government failed to break the determination of Kashmiri leader despite all tactics and conspiracies.
He said that the first-line leadership of Kashmir was Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Shaheed Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq, Shaheed Shaheed Abdul Ghani Lone, Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru, Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sahrai. , Shaheed Burhan Wani, Shaheed Maqbool Alai, Shaheed Ali Mohammad Dar, Shaheed Zia Mustafa, Sajjad Afghani, Osama Haider, Abu Hafs and Abu Sharekh will be remembered in golden words by Kashmiri people.
He added that they will protect the mission of these and thousands other martyrs who defended the Islamic state and national freedom.
