Islamabad : Executive Director, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Dr. Abid Qaiyum Suleri has been appointed as the member of the Advisory Council (2024-26) of the Asian Development Bank Institute for a term of two years.
The Advisory Council is the subsidiary body of the Institute which is an independent organization providing technical assistance and advice on identifying effective strategies for improved operations and also to review and comment on strategy and work program of the institute.
The Advisory Council of the Institute comprises of seven or more members to be appointed by the President of the Bank, one of whom shall be from among the senior staff of the Bank and the remaining members shall be distinguished practitioners.
Dr. Abid Suleri is the second Pakistani to join the prestigious board after Dr Ashfaque Hasan Khan, Director General, Institute of Policy Studies, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
