Korea support Pakistan’s endeavors to take friendship to the next level, Amb Korea

National Foundation Day and 76th Armed Forces Day of Republic of Korea was celebrated in Islamabad.

Islamabad  : National Foundation Day and 76th Armed Forces Day of Republic of Korea was celebrated with full zeal.

Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada attended as Chief Guest, while Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, MoS for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Chairman PMYP Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan and MNAs and Senators graced the event.

Addressing the event Korean Ambassador said that his country with its wealth of experience and technological advancement ready to support and partake in Pakistan’s endeavors to take friendship to the next level.

He said Korean Embassy is celebrating the 2024 K-Week in Islamabad, including 2024 Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting which will be held at Liaquat Gymnasium today, Korea-Pakistan Movie Day tomorrow and 17th Korean Ambassador Senior National Cadet National Taekwondo Championship will be held on Friday.

He hoped that two nations will continue to strengthen ties through culture, art, literature and music.

Additionally, the Korea-Pakistan Movie Day will screen four critically acclaimed films from October 24 to 27 at PNCA, Islamabad.


Korean movies “Ode to My Father” and “The Himalayas” would be showcased alongside Pakistani hits “Nayab” and “Superstar.” These films would highlight the diversity and creativity of both countries’ cinema.


Regarding the occasion, Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood said “We are thrilled to partner with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to bring this cultural extravaganza to Pakistan. This event embodies the spirit of friendship and cooperation between two countries.”
The Korea-Pakistan Cultural Week 2024 underscores the growing bilateral relations between Korea and Pakistan and promises to attract a diverse audience, including dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and students.
