Pat Cummins chooses to bat first against Pakistan after winning the toss against Australia

In the warm-up match ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Australia has won the toss and decided to bat first against Pakistan at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Australian captain Pat Cummins expressed his belief in the quality of the pitch and shared his team’s batting plans after winning the toss.

Pakistan, led by Shadab Khan in this match, will field first, and regular captain Babar Azam will join the game as a batsman later. Mohammad Rizwan has been rested, and Mohammad Haris will take over wicketkeeping duties.

The match is of significant importance to both teams as it provides an opportunity to fine-tune their strategies, evaluate player performances, and adapt to the current conditions before the World Cup.

These warm-up matches consist of 50 overs per side, but they do not have ODI status, as teams have the flexibility to include all 15 members of their squad in the Playing XI.
