Beijing : In China, Ninety-five people have been confirmed dead and 130 others injured as of Tuesday noon, after a magnitude-6.8 earthquake jolted Dingri County in the city of Xigaze in Xizang Autonomous Region at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to data from the US Geological Survey, the earthquake which hit Tibet’s holy city of Shigatse this morning had a magnitude of 7.1 and a depth of 10 kilometers. The area also experienced a series of aftershocks.
Tremors were felt in neighbouring Nepal and parts of India as well.
