
Minister Finance felicitates Iranian 46th anniversary of ‘National Day’
Islamabad : Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb felicitated the Iranian nation on 46th anniversary of the ‘National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.’
It is a matter of immense pleasure for me to be here we celebrate today’s event in connection with the 46th Anniversary of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he remarked on the Occasion of Reception to commemorate the 46th Anniversary ‘The Glorious Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the National Day’.

“I offer my felicitations once again to the peoples of our two countries commemorating this milestone today, and I pray for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran,he said”
On behalf of the people of Pakistan and my government, “I would like to convey my profound and respectful regards to His Eminence, the Supreme Leader of Iran, who enjoys deep respect and regard among the masses in Pakistan”, he said.
The finance minister said the people of Pakistan and Iran are bound together in an unparalleled and fraternal relationship, transcending the boundaries of time and geography and nurtured by people to people contacts over the centuries.
He said the peculiarity of our relationship is that people across the borders enjoy a distinct sense of overwhelming affinity whether at the political level or the government level, the bonding resonates powerfully in the common consciousness of the two peoples.

He said the leadership on both sides shares a common vision to transform these uniquely cordial ties into a robust strategic partnership.
Aurangzeb said that this was characterized by frequent high-level contacts and the commitment to coordinate closely on all matters of regional and global significance.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan met the President of Iran on the sidelines of UNGA at New York in September 2024 and at the sidelines of D-8 Summit at Cairo in December 2024, he said.
Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri visited Pakistan on 19th January 2025 to enhance joint military cooperation with Pakistan,he said.
He said that during the visit of Late President Raisi in April 2024, Pakistan and Iran reiterated their commitment to mutual cooperation.
“We are working together to advance our economic interests by addressing challenges in our ways of economic cooperation by using bilateral mechanisms like the Joint Economic Commission (JEC) and the Joint Trade Committee (JTC)” he said.

He said it is a great honor to be among you today in the friendly, brotherly, and neighboring country of Pakistan to celebrate the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I deeply appreciate your presence at this ceremony marking the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Strengthening relations with neighboring countries remains a fundamental and enduring pillar of Iran’s foreign policy; our brotherly bond with Pakistan holds a special place, consistently emphasized by the Supreme Leader. This shared vision has been instrumental in fostering strong and friendly ties between our nations.
In this context, we have undertaken various initiatives in the economic and political domains, including the opening of border crossings and trade markets, which have significantly contributed to the economic prosperity of both countries and the wider region.

Over the past year, multiple high-level delegations have been exchanged, reflecting the dynamism of our bilateral relations. Notable visits include that of the martyred President Ebrahim Raisi, as well as visits by Honorable Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Ishaq Dar to Iran. Additionally, we have witnessed visits from Mr. Araghchi, General Bagheri, and various federal, provincial, technical, and executive delegations, all of which reaffirm our mutual commitment to collaboration.
Iran has always supported efforts to enhance transportation networks, including the ITI rail route, and to expand port and infrastructure collaboration. Strengthening economic partnerships and utilizing our shared borders will enable businesses to thrive, fostering prosperity, stability, and sustainable development for the both nations.
The relationship between Iran and Pakistan, rooted in geographical ties, shared interests and mutual respect, continues to advance towards a brighter future. Our collective efforts must be directed towards maximizing our potential, fostering regional development, and improving the livelihoods of our people.
I once again extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our esteemed guests for gracing this memorable occasion.
