The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli occupation forces, as well as the blatant assault on worshipers and the arrest of many of them. Additionally, the OIC expressed condemnation for the closure of the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron).
In a statement, the OIC’s General Secretariat labeled these actions as a continuation of Israel’s repeated violations, as the occupying power, of the sanctity of holy places and the freedom of worship. The OIC emphasized that these actions represent a clear violation of the Geneva Conventions and international law.
The OIC called upon the international community to assume its responsibilities in ending these serious violations, highlighting the importance of preserving the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian holy sites in the occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem). This condemnation from the OIC underscores the ongoing concerns within the international community regarding events in the region and their impact on peace and stability in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
