The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Motorway Police for the North Zone presided over a meeting at the Abbottabad office

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Motorway North Zone, Muhammad Yousuf Malik, took the helm of an operational meeting held at the Abbottabad Office to assess the performance of field staff and reinforce the enforcement of traffic laws.

During the meeting, DIG Muhammad Yousuf Malik underscored the paramount importance of unwavering commitment to law enforcement, emphasizing the need for stringent legal action against habitual traffic law violators. The meeting yielded several key decisions geared towards enhancing road safety on the motorway.

Among these decisions, it was determined that access to the motorway would be restricted for vehicles lacking a tracking device. Additionally, all tracking devices must be registered with the Motorway Police to facilitate better control over speeding and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Furthermore, during peak hours, the issuance of route permits will be temporarily halted, and extra personnel will be deployed at toll plazas to effectively manage the increased traffic flow during busy periods. For vehicles planning journeys exceeding four hours in duration, the presence of two drivers will become mandatory to prevent driver fatigue and enhance road safety.

The DIG of Motorway North Zone also conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of Field Officers during the meeting and issued necessary directives to further strengthen traffic law enforcement efforts.

These proactive measures and decisions reflect the commitment of the Motorway North Zone authorities to ensuring safe and responsible travel for all motorway users.
