We help to resolve FDCMA issues on a priority basis, Yahya

Faisalabad : A meeting was held at the Faisalabad Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association (FDCMA) office to discuss the issues faced by the association, particularly regarding the Dangerous Petroleum List (DPL). The meeting was attended by a large number of members associated with the dyes and chemicals business.

The chief guest, Yahya Hussain Shah, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, graced the occasion with his presence. In his welcome address, Khawaja Asif Saraj, President of FDCMA, thanked the chief guest for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Faisalabad.

Khawaja Asif Saraj highlighted the issues faced by the dyes and chemicals community, which has been serving the textile industry for the past 66 years. He emphasized that the recent legislation regarding DPL has included many chemicals that are exclusively used in the textile industry, without consulting the stakeholders. This has resulted in numerous business problems and may lead to a crisis in the future.

The president expressed his gratitude to Mr Yahya Hussain Shah for his presence and hoped that he would help resolve their issues on a priority basis.

Other notable attendees, including Chairman Loyal Warriors of Pakistan, Major Taseer Ikram Rana (Retd.), Major Javed Khokhar (Retd.), and Group Leader Trader Union, Mr Ayub Sabir, addressed the house and requested the early resolution of the DPL issue.

In his address, Mr Yahya Hussain Shah thanked the leadership and members of FDCMA for inviting him to the meeting and highlighting their community’s issues. He assured them that he would support and cooperate in resolving their problems, particularly those related to DPL, and would make concerted efforts at the government level to address their concerns.

Mr Yahya Hussain Shah also stated that he would consult with the Chairman Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr Yousuf Raza Gilani, and ensure that he visits Faisalabad after Eid to meet with the association members and Faisalabad Industrial and business communities. He assured that he would also facilitate a meeting between the association’s officials and the relevant Senate committee dealing with DPL, to help resolve the issue through the upper house.

Later, Mr Yahya Hussain Shah was presented with a commemorative shield by the President of FDCMA.
