India sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan, DG ISPR

Islamabad : Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said India is sponsoring terrorism and subversion in Balochistan to destabilize Pakistan.

Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, along with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, held a press conference in Islamabad regarding the Jaffar Express hijacking and the subsequent clearance operation.
During the conference, he was asked whether the attack indicated an intelligence failure. In response, DG ISPR said that Balochistan presented a “very challenging intelligence environment”, adding that agencies were working round the clock to find leads and preempt attacks.
“I don’t agree with the term ‘intelligence failure’ because behind this are thousands of intelligence successes you don’t hear about-the incidents that never happened because our intelligence detected and neutralised them.”
