On October 16, 2023, Israeli forces continued their air strikes and bombardment of Gaza for the 10th consecutive day. These military actions are ongoing alongside diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire. The ceasefire is sought to enable foreign passport holders to leave the region and to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian enclave.
The recent overnight air strikes were particularly intense, resulting in the destruction of numerous buildings and further entrapment of people beneath the rubble.
Simultaneously, diplomatic endeavors are in progress to ensure the provision of aid to the enclave, which has been enduring relentless Israeli bombings since the 7th of the current month.
Israel’s Chief Military spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, affirmed that there was no ceasefire in place, and Israel was continuing its military operations.
