The 16th anniversary of the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy is being observed today by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). This event commemorates the blast attack on the homecoming procession of former Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on the same day in 2007 in Karachi.
The main ceremony to pay homage to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy, in which over one hundred fifty PPP workers lost their lives, is being held in Karachi today. This event serves as a solemn remembrance of the lives lost during the tragic incident.
In addition, a Quran Khawani (recitation of the Quran) was also conducted at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto in Larkana. During this solemn event, party leaders laid floral wreaths and offered fateha (prayers) at the graves of those martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy who could not be identified and were buried at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto. The occasion is marked by prayers and heartfelt tributes to the victims of this tragic event.
