Caretaker PM Highlights Vast Tourism Potential from Khunjerab to Swat, Calls for Chinese and Local Companies’ Collaboration

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has emphasized that the regions spanning from Khunjerab Pass to Swat in Pakistan possess immense tourism potential. He believes that with the improvement of necessary infrastructure and facilities, this potential can lead to substantial revenue generation. To tap into this opportunity, he has suggested that cooperation between Chinese companies and the Pakistani business community can play a crucial role in promoting the tourism sector.

These remarks were made during a meeting with Murtaza Hashwani, a prominent businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Services Limited. Hashwani proposed collaboration between the government and the country’s business community through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The meeting also discussed the utilization of government buildings at prominent locations for business activities through public-private partnerships.

Hashwani commended PM Kakar’s efforts in fostering economic stability in the country. This collaboration between the government and the private sector is expected to contribute to the development and growth of the tourism industry in Pakistan.
