BEIJING: The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing hosted an event on Friday to mark Kashmir Black Day, commemorating the unjust seizure of Jammu and Kashmir by India on October 27, 1947, without legal justification. For 76 years, India has continued to deny the people of Kashmir their right to self-determination as mandated by United Nations Security Council resolutions.
During the event, special messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister were read, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic commitment to the Kashmir cause. Qian Feng, a prominent Chinese scholar and South Asia expert, also addressed the gathering.
Deputy Head of Mission, Bilal Mahmood Choudhary, expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kashmiri people who have endured significant suffering during the seven-decade-long illegal occupation of Jammu & Kashmir by India. He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri population and called for an immediate cessation of human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Choudhary also appealed to the international community to play a rightful role in achieving a peaceful and lasting resolution to the longstanding Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
As part of the event, the Embassy hosted a photo exhibition highlighting the atrocities committed by India in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
