ISLAMABAD (APP): In a recent interview, Qadir Khan Mandokhail, a prominent figure within the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), reiterated the party’s unwavering demand for free and fair elections, highlighting their pivotal role in addressing Pakistan’s ongoing political crisis.
Mandokhail emphasized the significance of transparent elections as the foundation of democracy. He cautioned that without such elections, the democratic forces could lose their strength, and public trust in the electoral process might wane.
The senior PPP leader further stressed the need for a “level playing field” for all political parties during general elections, asserting that active participation in the electoral process and respect for the will of the people were essential principles.
In response to a query, Mandokhail underscored the importance of distinguishing between those avoiding accountability in elections and those willingly engaging with the electorate. He firmly stated, “For the nation’s economic stability and well-being, general elections remain the sole path forward.”
This resolute stance by the PPP leader reinforces the party’s commitment to promoting a transparent and equitable electoral process, which they view as a vital means to achieve lasting political stability in Pakistan.
