Repatriation Efforts Persist: 19,344 Afghans Return to Homeland

Efforts to repatriate illegal foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, continue as thousands return to their homeland from the Chaman and Torkham borders.

The recent data shows a substantial number of illegal Afghans are returning to Afghanistan daily, with 19,344 individuals making the journey yesterday.

Temporary transit camps have been established in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to accommodate and support these repatriating individuals. These camps provide essential amenities such as food, bedding, and medical facilities to ensure the well-being of those returning.

In a collaborative move, it has been agreed to extend the operating hours of the Torkham border, keeping it open until 11 pm today, following discussions with relevant Afghan authorities. This decision aims to facilitate the safe and efficient repatriation of Afghan citizens to their home country.
