Special Assistant on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussain Mallick, has called upon the international community to take immediate action to prevent the ongoing bloodshed of Kashmiris in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
During a seminar held in Oslo to address the human rights situation in IIOJK, Mallick stressed that the unresolved Kashmir dispute continues to pose a significant threat to regional peace. She emphasized the need for swift and concerted efforts to discover a lasting and viable solution to the Kashmir conflict.
The special assistant pointed out that the authoritarian Indian government has transformed the picturesque valley into a battleground, unleashing a campaign of state-sponsored terrorism to suppress dissenting voices.
Furthermore, Mallick made a heartfelt plea to the international community to ensure the safety and well-being of her incarcerated husband, Yasin Malik, who faces genuine threats while detained in the notorious Tihar jail due to his unwavering commitment to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
