Cultural diplomacy connects nations for collaborative peace, development, Speakers

Islamabad  : Center of Pakistan and International  Relations (COPAIR),   Pakistan National Council of the Arts and  Devcom Pakistan, Islamabad Foreign Women Association, hosted a cultural diplomacy event at PNCA. 
Mr.  Jamal Shah, Minister NH&CD graciously inaugurated the exhibition along with M. Ayoub Jamali,  DG PNCA, and some diplomats.

Panel discussed the development into the various ways in which women participate in and impact cultural diplomacy:-
President COPAIR, said, We are living in the digital age that provides ample cost-efficient solutions for cultural diplomacy. Digital diplomacy compliments cultural diplomacy if the social media platforms are used in the best manner for strategic interventions. They are the best tools to promote any nation’s culture and nation branding. The public diplomacy activities and cultural diplomacy events such as ‘All Flags Together’ bring diverse cultures together and improves foreign relations and positive image of Pakistan.
President COPAIR, Amna Munawwar Awan Digital Diplomacy is adopted by States as the most effective tool of foreign Policy.

A panel discussion on the digital cultural diplomacy held with the guest speakers, Daniela Draugelis (Cultural Intelligence Consultant and trainer),  Midhat Sheshzad (Secretary Youth & Culture  AJK Govt), Abatab ur Rehman Rana (MD Pakistan Tourism Dev Corp), and the moderator, Munir Ahmed (ED Devcom Pakistan).
Digital Diplomacy Session Pannel emphasized that Cultural International is the capability to function and relate effectively across various culturally diverse situations.
The essence of women’s involvement in cultural diplomacy, emphasizing their capacity to bridge cultural divides, challenge stereotypes, and promote intercultural dialogue.
The important intersection of gender and diplomacy within the context of cultural exchange and international relations.  Reflects the pivotal role, women play in the realm of cultural diplomacy and an exploration of how women’s voices serve as a means to connect diverse cultural identities on the international stage.
It also implies an examination of how women contribute to fostering understanding and cooperation through their participation in cultural diplomacy efforts.
The role of women in cultural diplomacy is of significant importance, as it contributes to the broader objectives of international relations and diplomacy while also addressing gender-specific issues and promoting gender equality.

This event included an art exhibition by different artists of the twin cities. These paintings were of the Margalla Hills by Maryam Rasul, M. Adnan Hafeez, Saima Ashfaq, Riffat Ara Baig, Ramsha Malik, Sundas Azhar, Beenish Ali, and Maryam Mushtaq  Students also displayed their work in the grand hall gallery.

The event was heavily visited by a large number of audiences, including artists, students, VIPs, government officials, press & media, etc. Stalls of food and crafts were organized by different organisations.
Moreover, a conference was also organised in the auditorium of PNCA on the topic of Peace, & Development, Chief  Guest Mr. Jamal Shah,  Minister NH&CD. The guest speakers include Ms. Daniela Draugelis, Cultural Intelligence Consultant,  Mr. Aftab ur Rehman Rana, Managing director PTDC, Ms. Midhat Shehzad, Secretary Youth and Culture AJK Govt,  Ms. Amna Munawar Malik, President COPAIR and Public Diplomacy Expert. The conference was moderated by Mr. Munir Ahmed, Geopolitical Analyst,  ED- Devcom Pakistan.
The conference was followed by musical performance by renowned Sitar Maestro Amir Hussain and cultural performances by National Performing Arts Group PNCA.
