Islamabad (VOM) : The Italian Embassy in Islamabad hosted reception of a launching ceremony of Trade Agency Office in Pakistan. The event was graced by the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese residence.
The ceremony was attended by officials, members of Islamabad chanmber of commerace, representatives from the diplomatic corps, business community and media personals attended the event in good number.
Ambassador of Italy H. E. Andreas Ferrarese, speaking at the ceremony, he mentioned the remarkable bilateral trade of $2 billion in 2022, with Pakistani exports surpassing the ‘Billion Dollar’ mark and home remittances from 300,000 Pakistanis residing in Italy, the largest expat community across the EU.
A strong presence of Pakistani businessmen at the ‘G2B Session,’ representing Leather, Textiles, and Footwear Associations, was matched by Italian counterparts from national Chambers, Trade & Investment Finance Agency (SIMEST), Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Footwear, Textiles, Agricultural Machinery, and Olive Culture.
The Italian Trade Agency is a governmental agency that supports the international business development of Italian companies and promotes foreign investment in Italy. With a modern organization and an extensive network of overseas offices, ITA provides information, assistance, consulting, promotion, and training to Italian small and medium-sized businesses, using modern promotion and communication tools to showcase the excellence of ‘Made in Italy’ worldwide.
The Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese, inaugurated with Hon. Salvatore Parano the Italian pavilion powered by Italian Trade Agency in Pakistan with leading Italian well known companies.
Italian Trade Commissioner Salvatore Parano described the establishment of the ITA office in Islamabad as a significant success for both countries. He highlighted the growing trade ties and pledged support for further strengthening the relationship.
Salvatore Parano said it is an initiative to promote Italian creativity, realized in collaboration with ITA, Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
ITA confirm the support of Italian Institutions to the realities of the leather goods world focused on the research of new ways to enhance and promote Italian creativity and genius.
The interaction provided opportunity for both sides to review their existing status of excellent bilateral cooperation and identify venues for prospective parliamentary and political exchanges.He said quality is Pakistani worker are very good in hard work, but they need tech skills which is necessary.
Ambassador of Italy Andreas Ferrarese said aimed to broaden the scope of awareness and safety promotion initiatives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to creating a safer and more informed community.
We shall continue to explore the avenues with focus on agriculture, renewable energy, textiles, construction and tourism. Collaboration in fields of textiles, agriculture, livestock, marble, pharmaceuticals and mass manufacturing would help enhance Pakistan’s industrial scope and increase exports of value added goods.
Italy-Pakistan relations are marked by emergent bilateral cooperation and harmony of views on a great range of issues. Our cooperation encompasses, but is not limited to political, economic, cultural and social spheres. Italy values the vital support and continued cooperation that Pakistan extended to the international community. Pakistan continues to be an attractive market for Italian companies and businesses.
