Islamabad : The Government of Balochistan has constituted a Technical Working Group (TWG) for formulation of afresh fisheries policy and revision of legal framework, vide gazette notification No. CD&F/SO(Admn:)2-39/2023/1880-81 dated 6th November 2023. As per composition, TWG comprises a total of twenty six (26) persons in which one is the chairman, ten (10) are full members, four observers (including fisherfolk community/associations, exporters, civil society organization and donors representatives), two group secretaries (one for marine and other for inland fisheries) and seven members on-call from to represent relevant federal and other provincial institutions against request through proper channel on time to time basis. The Secretary Fisheries and Coastal Development Department (F&CDD) Balochistan will act as chairman and Representative of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will be the Convener.
