A total of 1,216 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) occurred, leading to injuries sustained by 1,251 individuals.

LAHORE: Over the last 24 hours, a total of 1,216 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) occurred in Punjab, resulting in the tragic loss of 8 lives and injuries to 1,251 individuals.
Out of the injured individuals, 612, who had sustained severe injuries, were transported to various hospitals, whereas 639 victims with minor injuries received on-site treatment from Rescue Medical Teams.
The data reveals that the majority of the Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs), specifically 75%, involved motorcycles. A detailed breakdown indicates that among the victims of these RTCs, there were 633 drivers, 33 of whom were underage, 197 pedestrians, and 429 passengers.
The data indicates that Lahore reported the highest number of RTCs, standing at 307 incidents, with 314 victims, making it the top city on the list. Multan followed closely with 75 RTCs and 74 victims, while Gujranwala ranked third with 71 RTCs and 63 victims.
Further details show that among the 1,216 victims affected by RTCs, there were 1,004 males and 255 females. Regarding age groups, 217 were under 18 years old, 668 fell between the ages of 18 and 40, and the remaining 374 victims were reported to be above 40 years old.
According to the data, the vehicles involved in these RTCs included 1,046 motorcycles, 68 rickshaws, 108 cars, 16 vans, 11 buses, 31 trucks, and 105 other types of auto vehicles.
