RDA issued 548 legal notices to owners of illegal housing schemes, lodged 212 FIRs, sealed more than 183 offices, demolished 195 gates and sent 129 applications to the Cyber Crime Wing
RAWALPINDI, Under the leadership of the Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, stringent enforcement operations are underway against illegal housing societies who were looting plots and investments from the general public, investors and overseas Pakistanis.RDA spokesperson said that the DG RDA, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and CPO Rawalpindi are monitoring the operation against illegal housing societies on the special instructions of the Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta.In this regard, on the special instructions of Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta and DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the operation against illegal housing schemes will continue with full force to stop the fraud of illegal housing societies and looting from citizens.The strict action will be taken against those encroaching on people’s lands, whereas RDA has informed the general public to avoid investing in these illegal housing societies and check the RDA website www.rda.gop.pk before investing in any project, he added.He said that not only operations have been conducted against illegal housing societies, their offices have also been demolished, FIRs have also been registered and applications sent in the Cyber Crime Wing. He said that for the first time in the history of Rawalpindi Development Authority, on the special instructions of the Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta, under the supervision of the DG RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the noose has been tightened against illegal housing societies.Actions have been taken against illegal housing schemes by the day and night efforts of RDA MP&TE staff, among illegal schemes are Blue World City, Multi garden, Abdullah City, Avalon city, Faisal Town Phase-2, Rudn Enclave, Capital Valley, Shaheen Garden, Atlantic City, Century Town, High Capital City, Royal Farm / Residencia / Apna Ghar, Chinar Enclave, Eman Garden, Theme Park View, Al-Imran Homes, Imarat Hoon Farm Houses, Khan Builders, Kashmir Homes / Imam Hassan Towns, Usmania Fort Housing Scheme, Haider Residencia, Khalid Colony, Al-Baraka Garden, Zam Zam Villas, Eman Garden, Chinar Enclave, Gulshan-e-Abbas, Potohar Valley, Dua Garden, Anmol Garden, Ameen Housing, Watan Enclave, Cighu Farm House, Green Oaks (Harutus Flora), Manan City, Shakir Farms among the hundreds of illegal housing societies.He said that so far 548 legal notices have been sent to the owners/sponsors of illegal housing societies, 218 have been issued challans, FIRs have been lodged against more than 212, more than 183 offices have been sealed, 195 gates have been demolished and 129 applications have been sent to Cyber Crime Wing for legal action. He said that nine accused of illegal housing societies management are in custody, 28 housing societies owners’ securities have been confiscated, 72 cases are under hearing in the session court and 24 cases are also under hearing in the high court. Spokesperson RDA said that at this time RDA administration has become a symbol of fear for corrupt mafia and “nossars”, the day and night efforts of RDA administration have paid off due to which not only actions are being taken against housing societies but also a recovery target of Rs 52.11 million has also been achieved, to the credit of DG Saif Anwar Jappa and his team members. RDA administration has played a historic role in bringing illegal housing societies to justice.Along with the district administration, the Rawalpindi Police also has an exemplary role. Due to the task force set up by the RDA administration against illegal housing societies, millions of overseas Pakistanis and investors have been saved from looting, on which overseas Pakistanis and other investors have paid tribute to the Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta, the DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa and others.The Rawalpindi administration is not only taking action against illegal housing societies but also against those doing illegal constructions. The RDA administration has issued instructions to the owners of illegal housing societies to immediately stop their advertisements and sale of plots through the media. Notices have been issued for advertising the societies. RDA has asked investors not to invest in a housing society until RDA issues NOC. He said that the DG RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa has also issued instructions to remove the content of all illegal schemes from social media so that the general public can avoid the fraud of illegal housing schemes.
