The participants highly appreciated this civil society initiative of Save Gaza Campaign and
highlighted the need of showing mass public support for Palestine. They assured their full backing
for this campaign.
The speakers, unified in their stance, issued a resounding call for an immediate ceasefire and
cessation of the ongoing genocide perpetrated against the Palestinian people by Israel. The
participants unanimously agreed on the following points:
Accepting a two-state solution means recognizing the legitimacy of Israel, which is against
Pakistan’s foundational ideology, therefore, it must be actively resisted.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should establish a tribunal to investigate and
hold Israel accountable for its war crimes, condemning the atrocities targeting innocent
civilians, including 10,000 children.
The Government of Pakistan should fully support the application submitted by South
Africa to the International Court of Justice under the Genocide Convention to speed up
the process for an immediate ceasefire. It should also enlist the active support of OIC in
this matter.
The Save Gaza campaign is aimed at pressuring the Government of Pakistan for taking practical
measures for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza through public support, which is being voiced
through weekly demonstrations, flash protests and social media initiatives. In this regard, all the
participants assured their full cooperation and stressed the importance of continuing to spread
public awareness about Gaza. They agreed that people taking to the streets to show solidarity
with Gaza; boycotting Israeli companies; combating Israeli propaganda on social media and
exposing its war crimes are all crucial factors in the war of narratives and ideology.
