DG RDA halts operation against illegally built educational institutions till academic year

RAWALPINDI : On the directions of the Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Land Use and Building Control Wing of RDA in response to the enforcement action of RDA against illegal educational institutions, on the requests of these school owners, actions have been postponed for the current academic year.
It has been decided to give concession so that the educational activities of the children are not interrupted by the legal action of RDA and they can complete their academic year without any hindrance.
The spokesperson RDA said that in the light of this decision, it is said that all the school owners who have built schools in residential buildings without approval.
The DG RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa has directed that to immediately regularize the schools as per law or stop this illegal use.
In this regard, they will submit an affidavit within 15 days to RDA that they are ready to legalize their illegal schools or stop the illegal use of this buildings (schools).
Additionally, in this regard, if the school buildings are not regularized then the owners of these buildings will have to pay a fine of Rs 1000 per day, until the use of the residential building as a school is regularized or closed. Otherwise, if the affidavit is not submitted within 15 days, legal action will be taken against them and the schools will be sealed.
