
Islamabad : Distinguished social, political, and Kashmiri leader Altaf Ahmed Bhat has generously donated yet another water filtration plant in CBR Town Phase I to ensure access to clean drinking water for the residents of CBR Employees Cooperative Housing Society.The water filtration plant was inaugurated to supply clean water to the members in the executive block of CR Town Phase I.Altaf Ahmed Bhat, the president of the society, inaugurated the plant in the presence of numerous local dignitaries, including residents of the executive block and other members. Notable figures such as Vice President Faheem Anwar Barni, Secretary Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed, Treasurer Umar Farooq, Executive Members Nakir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Saeed Baig, Syed Shakeel Ahmad Shah, Malik Naeem Akhtar, General Manager of the Society Ghulam Shabbir were present.Addressing the gathering, Altaf Ahmad Bhat expressed, “Today, we are inaugurating the 5th Water Filtration Plant in CBR Town Phase, facilitated by our family, and we are going to install it with your help.”He further stated that the plant is expected to be operational within a month, adding, “Inshallah, the construction work of Jana Begum Jamia Masjid has already commenced here in the executive block of CBR Town Phase I.”Regarding infrastructure updates, Altaf Ahmed Bhat mentioned, “The electricity approval has been granted, and in a few days, electricity meters will be provided to the aspiring members of the Executive Block from IESCO. The necessary development works have commenced, with the main gate and the construction of a bridge for traffic on both sides of the river of the society set to begin soon. This executive block of society is situated in a beautiful location.”Highlighting the success and approval of CBR Housing Society by CDA and other independent bodies, Bhat asserted, “All responsible persons of our management are working diligently to provide all possible facilities to the residents.”Concluding his remarks, Altaf Ahmed Bhat, the president of the society, expressed pride in the members and residents for their hard work in organizing the annual meeting. However, due to the suspension of provincial powers by the Islamabad High Court, the Registrar Cooperative Department was unable to send its representative, leading to the postponement of the Annual General Meeting to a later date.Bhat assured that the new date for the Annual General Meeting will be announced soon. He also urged concerned members to attend and emphasized the potential benefits of the merger of non-developed blocks of CBR Town Phase II with Faisal Town, a prominent housing sector in the country, describing it as a game-changer and a profitable move for the members of CBR Town.
