2nd meeting of Ad Hoc Working Group on Transport and Regional Connectivity in 2024

Islamabad – In line with the directives of the President to develop Kazakhstan’s transit and transport capabilities, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Islamic Republic of Pakistan took initiative of a visit by the First Deputy Ministry of Communications, Railways, and Maritime Affairs of Pakistan, Mr. S. Ali Shah.During the discussions, both parties addressed crucial aspects of bilateral cooperation, focusing on road and rail communications related to the North-South route. They also tentatively set dates for the 2nd meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Transport and Regional Connectivity in 2024. Presentations highlighted the transportation and logistics strengths of both countries, emphasizing the significant potential for collaboration through land and sea corridors.Following the event, agreements were reached to implement practical measures aimed at enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in the transport and logistics sector. This includes the establishment of specialized expert groups and the development of a legal framework for bilateral interaction.
