Black day in Kashmir on Indian Republic Day

Muzaffarabad: People of Jammu and Kashmir observed Black day on Indian Republic day. According to details, protests processions were held across the state while the main event was held under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in which large number of citizens participated while holding banners, placards and black flags. People chanted slogans against Indian authorities besides highlighting the plight of Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). They also burnt the sculptures of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Ajit Doval. Speaking on the occasion, speakers said that that India is involved in state terrorism in IIOJ&K under the guise of fake democracy. They said that the political, religious, social and human rights of Kashmiri Muslims have been usurped under so called democracy of India. “India is a black spot in the name of democracy, who is trying to occupy the state of Jammu and Kashmir illegally by force”, they maintained. They were of the view that the implementation of the worst laws like POTA, OFFSPA, UAPA, and PSA in IIOJ&K have made the lives of the Kashmiri people imprisoned and tortured. Speakers said that Muslims of India are victims of barbaric acts if Hindutva led ideology of Indian government. “Bharatiya Janata Party, Vishva Hindu Parishad, RSS, Bajrang Dal, dozens of Hindu terrorist organizations are attacking Muslims with the support of the Delhi government”, they lamented. Protestors demanded the United Nations and human rights organizations to take notice of Indian state terrorism in IIOJ&K besides Indian Muslims. They also demanded to undo all the actions and decisions of the Supreme Court of India of August 5, 2019 and December 11, 2023.Rally was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Shaukat Javed Mir, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Shoaib Ahmed Shah, Iqbal Yaseen Awan, Muhammad Farooq Sheikh, Raja Sajid Khan, Ishaq Shaheen, Chaudhary Shehbaz Ahmed, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Imtiaz Aziz and others.
